The Mission Statement of Grace Lutheran Church

Founded and established in Grace, the people in this congregation seek to:
*    Provide a place to worship and teach the Word of God in its truth and purity.
*    Administer the sacraments that the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of all members may be fulfilled.
*    Serve the unchurched and those in need with spiritual and physical provision that they may come to know our Savior,

Congregational Life.  How do I join?  Acceptance into membership is determined by a person's previous church affiliation.  Those who are members in good standing of another LCMS congregation are received by transfer from that congregation.  Members of other Lutheran denominations are accepted by "profession of faith."  Those who are members of non-Lutheran denominations, or have not been affiliated with a congregation are received by adult confirmation which follows adult instruction classes.

Coffee/Fellowship Time  Each Sunday after Bible Class, at approximately 9:30 a.m. rolls and coffee are served for anyone
wishing to attend.  This is a nice get acquainted time.

Holy Communionis celebrated on the first and third Sundays of each month.  Common Cup is used on the first Sunday, and Individual Cups are used on the third Sunday.  Holy communion is also celebrated on the Saterday that there is not communion on Sunday of the same weekend, the first & third Wednesday of each month and during major church festivals.

The Vision Statement of Grace Lutheran Church

Enhance Grace Lutheran as an outreaching, unified, and friendly congregation; support the area Lutheran high school; continue support of worldwide missions and in particular the Orphan Grain Train; and be receptive to change for a stronger ministry, with emphasis on youth.

Here is where you can find us.
416 Park Ave., Norfolk, NE

The physical plant of Grace Lutheran is composed of two adjoining buildings.  The older building is known as the church building.  The newer educational building is parallel to the alley and joins the church building at the northwest.

The Office.  The church office is located in the educatioanl building.  From the parking lot/alley, enter through the alley door close to the parking lot, walk up the stairs, and walk the entire length of the hallway to the last door on the right..

An Elevator is provided for those who have trouble with stairs.  This allows access without stairs to all levels of the plant except the balcany and upper floor of the educational building.  The elevator is located in the east side of the church between the church and parsonage.

Restrooms are provided in the basement.  Both men and women's facilities are provided in the basement of the eduactional building, just outside fellowship hall.  An additional women's restroom is located in the church basement just below the chapel.

This is how you can contact us.
Vicki will take your call at (402) 371-1044.
