Cancellations and Changes

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).
One year ago God brought us through a time of high water. Now we trust God will bring us through this time of raised concern due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Due to updated government mandates, no groups are allowed to meet with more than ten people for two weeks. This includes churches. Therefore, all church services at Grace and all our activities will be canceled for two weeks (until the end of the month). This means no group Bible studies, classes, handbells, choirs, etc.

We are working at providing worship, devotion, and Sunday School resources electronically as well as via US mail. Look for added Facebook Live events in the days ahead. We will share more about these new opportunities with you in the coming days. We also plan to provide opportunities for confession, absolution, communion, counseling, and prayer as individuals, families, or small groups meeting with your pastors.

Hopefully federal and state regulations will ease in two weeks, but we have to wait and see. In the meantime, our elders and pastors are working to plan for Holy Week worship opportunities depending on the number of people allowed to congregate.

Please continue to be on the lookout for those in need around you. Know that Orphan Grain Train will be offering food to those in need as an additional supply. Continue to follow our government official’s mandates as well as their guidelines for sanitation and social distancing. Pray for one another and love your neighbor as you would love yourself.

Thank you for your patience and support.

“Change and decay in all around I see; O Thou who changest not, abide with me.”      LSB 878, “Abide with Me” v.4
